2013 Research Awardees

The ATS Foundation is pleased to announce the grant and award recipients for the 2015-2016 grant cycle. The support of our members, donors, and partners helps make these awards possible—thank you!

These grants and awards support research encompassing pulmonary, critical care, and sleep illnesses. In addition, they provide crucial support for early stage investigators from around the world.

Partner Grants

The ATS Foundation pools its funds with other nonprofit organizations and pharmaceutical companies to maximize the number of grants that we can support. The ATS reviews all grants and assumes all costs associated with administrating the grants.

ATS Foundation Recognition Awards for Outstanding Early Career Investigators - $40,000

The ATS Foundation introduced the Recognition Awards for Outstanding Early Career Investigator Awards in 2013. These awards provide financial support to investigators who came close to, but did not meet, the National Institutes of Health (or international equivalent) paylines. The awards provide young investigators protected time to improve their NIH applications and pursue other major grants for their respiratory research.

Grants-for-Hire Program

ATS contracts with several organizations to provide grant services, providing administrative support and performing a rigorous scientific review for the organization’s research program. In return for these services, the ATS Foundation receives a fee that is funneled back into research grants, maximizing the number of research grants that can be awarded each year.
