Charitable Lead Trust

When interest rates are low, and stock values are depressed, it’s a good time to consider this opportunity.  Family wealth transfer can also be effected through the charitable lead trust (CLT).  The CLT can make an annual payout to the ATS for a specified number of years, after which the trust’s assets are turned over to the donor’s children or other heirs.  This also helps reduce or completely eliminate the gift or estate taxes that would otherwise apply to a gift to heirs.
