PropertyReal property that can be converted into cash or used directly for the mission of the Foundation is an excellent giving alternative. For example, a painting given to the Foundation can be sold, with the proceeds supporting the mission of the Foundation. A vacation home that is no longer used can be given to the Foundation, which will sell the property and invest the proceeds in the Foundation’s work. Jewelry, automobiles, and many other forms of tangible personal property can be considered for acceptance by the Foundation. Gift acceptance policies apply to any potential gift that may create current or future liability for the Foundation.
