Fourth Annual ATS Foundation Research Program Benefit
You may register on site for the Fourth Annual ATS Research Program Benefit on Saturday, May 19, 7pm at the Marriott Marquis San Francisco, 55 Fourth Street. Enter the lobby and take the escalator down two floors.
Whether you have participated in the past or are new to our ATS Foundation Research Program Benefit, we hope you will join us on Saturday, May 19, 2012 for a special evening devoted to recognizing the best and the brightest in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine.
The Benefit is an international celebration uniting key figures and leaders from across the respiratory spectrum—researchers, clinicians, industry leaders and patients in support of the ATS Foundation Research Program.
The Benefit promises to be among one of the most important—and fun—social events at the ATS 2012 International Conference. We look forward to seeing you and to achieving our shared vision of supporting a new generation of researchers in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine.
Since 2002, the Foundation has awarded nearly $10 million in grants to over 100 junior investigators, launching the careers for a new generation of researchers. Past research program grant recipients have gone on to secure $34 million in additional research funding from the National Institutes of Health and other funding resources, publish in many prestigious national and international journals and become mentors to the next generation of researchers.

In response to past attendee requests for maximum time to socialize at the Benefit, the Foundation has redesigned the format to be as interactive as possible. In 2012, the program will no longer be a sit-down dinner; instead, attendees will have the opportunity to mingle freely and network with colleagues while sampling a wide array of San Francisco’s delicious cuisines at food stations.
