ATS Foundation Donors Succeed in Matching Gifts Challenge
The ATS Foundation has received a matching grant of $15,000 from the Kenneth and Jane S. Libby Family Foundation thanks to 61 donors who each donated $25 to $1,000 during the matching gifts challenge Oct. 15-Dec. 31, 2012.
"The Libby Family Foundation is proud to help promote research via the ATS Foundation Research Program by setting up this challenge grant, and we are delighted to hear that the challenge was met," says Louis Libby, MD, of the Oregon Clinic.
ATS Foundation Chair James F. Donohue, MD, was pleased that the new campaign succeeded in renewing lapsed donors, motivating new donors, and had a significant impact on members' end-of-the-year giving to the Funds for the Future Campaign.
"Support from generous donors such the Libby Family Foundation and those who stepped up to the challenge is crucial in helping the ATS Foundation fund young investigators whose work will have a profound impact on lives of patients," Dr. Donohue says.
ATS Foundation Chair James F. Donohue, MD, said he was pleased with ATS members' positive response to the matching gifts challenge as well as the ATS Assembly Challenge, as both were first-time initiatives of the ATS Foundation.
